CHAPTER SIX
Romans 12:3 <For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.>
Galatians 6:3 <For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.>
This message I have entitled: “Latter False Prophets And False Christs.” So we had early false prophets, and tonight you are going to hear about latter false prophets and christs, meaning that they followed these former prophets and christs.
I was thinking how hard it is for some to sit and hear these things knowing that they have relatives, loved ones, grandmothers and all kinds of relatives who were involved in this, over here and at Bethel. And some of what would be spoken tonight, the relatives of people are seated right in Bethel there, and they have to sit through that and hear these things rehearsed. Not only that but they sat through, many years ago, and saw the manifestations of their own loved ones and sons and those people stood faithfully to the Word of God, in all respect to the ministry, and they are still there after fifteen and twenty years, and some of them twenty-five years, and they are still pressing the battle. So you are not alone in this. Other people are suffering in their minds.
So this here is a little subject on a Brother King. So again this is built upon the understanding of self and satanic delusions – pride, self and ambition, and I want to emphasize this scripture from Romans 12: 3 where Brother Paul was warning the Romans. Rome was like America, the capital of the world, and you know what that does. It puts pride into the heart and they were a different kind of people, and Brother Paul said:
<For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.>
And we have seen enough and have heard enough for the past services, even of Galatians 6: 3:
<For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.>
Yes! So now, that is so wonderful, and even Brother Paul had to fight against these kinds of ambitious spirits, and he warned people in his day.
So now, this is going to take a little deeper look into self and satanic delusions, and where you will see and where you will hear a demon speaking out of a man in an orderly fashion. Very intellectual, very wise, very cunning, very sensible, and you could learn alot. So if you never heard one of the demons from the Euphrates River speak out in the first person like Christ, you are going to hear that and experience it. And I will quote this man directly.
So this young man, I cannot say that he was a bad fellow. I believe that he was a wonderful young man, handsome, strong looking, very respectful. I never had any problems with this boy causing problems in the church. The only problem that he had was that he got a little too ambitious. Nobody knew the ambition that was in his heart. This ambition would cause him to fall into a delusion, and an evil spirit from the Euphrates that is seeking to pervert the seven thunders and lead people into satanic delusions would come upon this man.
So it happened that this spirit did not get away too far and carry away anybody from the House of God because it was exposed in time. But it was unlike the other spirits that carried away a lot of people, split the church, broke the church up, and the saints went through many problems, like when Teddy “the Christ” arose.” It is the same kind of spirit, only that this spirit was contained by the Word of God and it could not move. And like what we dealt with last night, that arose and led away some. And in every uprising of these false prophets and false christs, it happened in times past, over the years, that one or two were misled.
“GABRIEL THE ARCHANGEL”
Right now, as we preach on this subject, I am preaching to a brother. I hope that he is listening in India. He thinks that he is Gabriel the archangel, after hearing all the words of God, and he has a faithful follower with him and a congregation. I noticed that that brother is tuning in almost every night, and I want to warn you in an impersonal way my brother; to follow “Gabriel the archangel” whom that brother claims to represent is to lose your soul. Cut clear of that man if he would not repent. On the 12th of this month is his last day to repent. I sent a letter to him giving him one week to turn down that delusion. I was hoping with all these experiences, that that man would fall upon his knees and say, “I see what you are talking about and I repent.” Up to this day: 10th July, he has not yet repented. Now, that is strong delusion friend, that is plenty pride, that is plenty ambition. Yes! And I wish that this message tonight and another tomorrow would help this man to see the delusion that he is in. This brother is now portraying himself as Michael the archangel-Christ. And the only difference between you and this man is that you are claiming to be Gabriel, and this fellow is claiming to be Michael. And yet he is a nice brother, wonderful and supportive to the ministry, but then you can get the wrong spirit by having the wrong foundation. O my, how a man could be so proud and think of himself so highly. You should leave that mistake for some of us who sat here for decades and heard the man of God himself, and some even heard Brother Branham himself and we sat under the Word of God for better than four decades, some of us, and you should leave that mistake for us to make, and we are not making that mistake. Take our examples and humble your heart. You just heard the Word for a couple years through the E.O.D.H. books, and you have not yet really heard what you are supposed to hear. Humble your heart, give up that spirit. This is that spirit that has deceived the whole world, and we have a world of false prophets today. They are loosed.
TANNY KING - “MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL”
Michael King attended Bethel for a number of years. He was a disciplined young man who caused no problems to the church, nor had any complaints concerning him.
Being a highly ambitious young man, who never denied self, he went fooling with the wrong things, went into fanaticism, became demon-possessed and fell into a delusion that he was Michael the archangel, God made flesh, and claimed that he had to go to Israel to be crucified. Apparently, he spiritualized his name. He claimed that he had a revelation to perfect the Bride and to continue the ministry of Christ.
Brother Bruce counseled him and dealt with him in love and respect with the hope of delivering him from that delusion. He told him, “This is a devil on you brother.” He said, “But I feel Jesus Christ down inside of me.” He said, “You got possessed. You are going to lose your job, because you are going to lose your mind and you are going to end up in the mad house.” So he gave him time knowing that every one of us could make mistakes, and a wrong spirit could get upon us, but the thing is, we must be willing to repent.
He continued down that path so Brother Bruce got all the preachers and the deacons of Bethel and had
him relate his experiences and revelations. He told us that he was comfortable and confident. “A fool rageth and is confident.”
Not willing to give up that spirit, he was given thirty days to repent. He failed to repent and was dismissed from the House of God. In a couple of days he went insane. They carried him down by Waldron, a message minister, and they could not handle him, and they finally put him in the insane asylum. He remained there for some time. Then he started to beg the nurse to let him out, so she did, and he came to Bethel. When he arrived, Brother Chandler was in church and he and Brother Bruce prayed for him, and that demon came right out of him, and he wrote his testimony which filled a thick book, giving his story from the beginning to the end, and telling when that demon came in him. When he was delivered he said, “Brother Bruce, I know when that demon came out of me. When it came out, I got so weak.”
However, he never gave up his ambition, and having that bedding ground, that demon came right around again and possessed him. He again claimed to be Christ manifested in human flesh and claimed to have the revelation of the seven thunders. That demon gave him a letter to the church, which was totally antichrist in nature and doctrine, which he wrote on paper.
It was brought to a showdown. Brother Bruce allowed him to go to the pulpit and read the letter to the church that the church might be acquainted with such spirit of antichrist, and afterwards twelve men, at random, were selected and summoned from the congregation to give their verdict. This was done also with the hope of deliverance of this deluded young man. The showdown was officiated by one of Bethel’s senior minister: Brother Roy Barrow.
All twelve men declared that he had a demon upon him, it is an antichrist spirit at work, he is over-ambitious, full of pride, he is not the identification of Christ, he is not the authority on the seven thunders and his thunders revelation is madness and insanity. The ministry concluded by the Word of God that there is no room in the Word of God for him to fit into such ministry, and to claim to be Christ in flesh is blasphemy and a spirit of antichrist and spirit of insanity is upon him.
He had attended Bethel for several years with his mother, grandmother and several of his relatives, whom the Lord supernaturally brought and saved and of whom many are still at Bethel. His mother is a most faithful sister who does not mix matters concerning her soul’s salvation. She never for one moment doubted the Word in favor of her son’s doctrine. She is yet at Bethel serving the Lord. His grandmother went to be with the Lord.
His mother sat through the showdown. How sad that must have been for her. She tried to turn him from his error on several occasions with motherly pleadings for his soul, but he was bent in his ways and grew deeper into his delusion. The contents of the showdown were as followS:
So Brother Barrow; each one of you knows him. He is a gallant, precious brother. He looks big and strong but he is very tender in heart. A very loving man, and we still consider him as a senior minister in the House of God, though he is not too well and he is not functioning on the pulpit very often. Brother Barrow, you know he always does a thorough job. He has a loud voice for it and he makes sure that you understand what he is saying. We love Brother Barrow.
SHOWDOWN
Bethel Minister, Brother Roy Barrow: “Tonight, I am called upon to do a little something here, with respect to our brother Tanny King. We have Brother King with us. He claims that he has been hearing from God, and he has written to his shepherd, concerning his claims, which he also addressed to this church.
And I want you to sit down and give your undivided attention, and if possible take mental notes. If you feel that your memory will fail you, you can do a little jotting down. So at this time we will ask Brother Tanny King to come and read his letter that he has written, first of all to his shepherd, but this letter was really addressed to the church, as I hand him this letter.”
We read another letter last night, and that was a letter from the pit of hell. Yes! That was from the insane asylum. Yes! It was penned under a certain inspiration also. It was claimed that “I cannot write until I feel inspired.” Now, these demons write. They write books. They preach behind the pulpit. The man who they are using actually feels inspired. They feel empowered by the Holy Ghost, because they are in deception.
So now, as he reads this letter, note carefully how well ordered his words are: proper English, proper order of the scripture, until a certain point, and you will know how those demons speak. So now, this is a devil speaking in the first person, and when he brought that letter to me and I read it, I knew that this letter would edify the church, and I believe it will edify the world over.
May I say some thing here: Sometimes a man, because of his pride and lust and ambition, interferes with the wrong thing and he becomes insane. After he becomes insane he doesn’t know what he is doing and he is motivated by a devil. Yes! And God knows that man’s heart. And that man can do a lot of things in his madness and the Lord still save him. Isn’t God gracious? [Congregation says, “Amen!”] And there are some cases here that I believe that the Lord saved those parties. They just interfered with the wrong thing and lost their minds, but they meant well. They meant to serve God. And Brother Branham said that a person could be insane and be saved. He said, “Many a person could be insane but yet the Lord has saved them.”
TOTALLY INSANE YET CONVERTED AND FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST
Quote W.M.B.: 17 Many times you can see a person maybe of insanity. Now, they may be yet a converted person, filled with the Holy Spirit, and yet be totally insane. See? That's right; that has nothing to do with the soul. It's a tormentor (See?), something that torments them. (Demonology 1 Physical 53-0608A).
So you see we have to look at the other side too and just don’t dump these people into a category that they are lost forever. No, they just interfered with the wrong thing, they got mad and they just did the wrong thing.
INSPIRATION OF SATAN
Tanny King: “Good afternoon brothers and sisters. The inspiration to write this letter came to me while I was on my job. I write a lot of letters. Normally, I just don't know exactly what I am going to write. As the inspiration comes, the Lord would say, “Write,” and I would write, you know. Many ideas are under my shepherd, Brother Bruce, which pertain to my spiritual growth. I know he will correspond with me and teach me certain things. And as my growth goes along, there were many other letters I wrote which I kept for myself.
One day, the fifteenth of December, last year (1994), I was on the job and the Lord said, “Write,” and I started to write. He told me to write something pertaining to dreams, because many of you know I have had bad experiences with dreams. He said to “write pertaining to dreams; the people must understand about dimensions.” And I started to write about the dimensions. Not knowing what I was going to write, I just continued writing, and visions started breaking and things started happening. And I wrote about the first dimension, the second and the third. And when I reached to the fourth, I was writing and I touched on something and visions started to break from all sides.
I did not know how to put them together; I put down the pen. Now, for the whole evening visions continued breaking, breaking, and everything kept tying together, tying together for the whole night. The next day he told me, “Start afresh; put that away.” And he said, "Start to write." And this is the letter. This is Friday 16th December, 1994. A letter to the church; first to the church of Bethel, and then to all others:”
Do you see the aim of this antichrist? This is the devil now, it is not the man. Now, the aim of the antichrist is to deceive the church, number one, and then he is not satisfied, he must go overseas and deceive the whole world. Those are the demons that have been loosed today. So now, this is the devil that broke these visions before this man. Remember he must have a foundation before the demon come upon him. The foundation is to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think. You think that you are somebody so great. You are ambitious. So now, you have to work your way into that, and after you work your way into that, then you open up to these spirits, and these spirits could take your finger and write. Yes! They wrote me letters already, right in front of my eyes, they wrote me letters. And then they would come and inspire you, make you feel that you have the Holy Spirit. You would actually hear their voice as if it is the voice of God. You see visions breaking for the whole night, as the brother said, and dreams start coming to him. When they get like that you could hardly convince them that that is not God, because they went through some experiences. And that is where so-called Pentecost failed. They failed by leaning off on their experiences and leaving the Word behind.
Alright, hear the devil speak out of this man in the first person like Christ. Now, this is an insanity spirit that jumped on this man.
BEARING YOUR SINS IN MY MEMBERS
“Let it be known that the time is at hand, that which was in heaven, is now upon the earth, and is now opened unto them. That which they sought has come among them, and has been among them now thirty years, and they knew it not. No! Not even the Son, for the secret was hidden in the Father, until now that all might be fulfilled.
Thirty years have I been in this world, since the seals were opened in the year 1963, by William Marrion Branham, I came. And in the year 1964, November 12th, I put on my robe of flesh, my chosen robe, chosen before the foundation of the world, ordained for this purpose by me. Ever since, I have been walking amongst you; bearing your sins in my members. I became part of you that you might be part of me, whereas there might be balance, a covenant between me and you, therefore creating peace in our hearts, and putting an end to the wars.
However, three is the number of perfection, so in order for our joy to be full, there must be another war. For there is still iniquity working in your members, it must be thoroughly purged with fire, which is my Word, the vehicle of my Spirit. It is written, there are three Woes: Woe! Woe! Woe!, symbolizing the three wars. The wars are spiritual and natural wars, for I am a spirit and you are natural; you are my reflection. Two woes have already passed. I was exalted above you, because of my supreme spiritual power and beauty. There was no way for us to communicate. We were totally contrary to each other. I am the front of the body and you are the back. As your face cannot communicate with the back of your head, unless there is a mirror, even so had we no communication, but we desire to see each other. So you thought of ways, how it could be done, and I thought of ways how it could be done.”
Did you hear the voice of the devil? Brethren, this is an insanity spirit from the Euphrates, impersonating Christ. Did you hear his first statement? “Let it be known that the time is at hand.” Didn’t Jesus say that false prophets and false christs shall arise and say that the time is at hand? [Congregation says, “Amen!] The exact same words, that “the time is at hand” and pretend to be Christ?
I AM LIGHT
“Then a part of your ideas was combined to a part of my ideas and we came up with a perfect plan, whereof we might have fellowship. The plan is called the Word. The Covenant states, I being light, will cut you off from me, you being natural having no light of your own, that I might be able to see you.
…The foolish virgins and the renegade Jews are to be joined together in one, after I and you have been joined together. Our uniting is called ‘in the body.’ Their uniting is called ‘out of the body.’”
YOU ARE JESUS AND I AM CHRIST
“Before Jesus came, all that you saw manifested were the details of the construction of the first part of the plan: the creation of the new body for us to dwell in. Jesus Christ is the end product, he is our plan manifested, he is our body. Therefore, it is written, “Jesus Christ is the mystery of God revealed." You are Jesus and I am Christ. To fight against Jesus is to fight against yourself. It is therefore written, ‘You cannot kick the pricks.’”
Now, this is a demon speaking in the first person.
I AM SELF-EXALTED
“The prehistoric monsters, the dinosaurs and dragons etc., the giants were the reflections of the old man. I being self exalted and you being self exalted, therefore, as the old man no longer exists even so those photographs no longer exist. Therefore, it is written, “Their sins I shall remember no more.” All sorrow and pain and death, and heartache, and homosexuality, and lesbianism, and pride, yeah pride, and deceit, are therefore the strife, for there are all bottled up in unbelief, in our plan. Pride is your biggest enemy. Self, the cause of death.”
Brethren, this devil from the Euphrates is preaching against self and pride. That is the heights of deception. He said, “Pride is death. Your biggest enemy is pride”, and that is the devil himself!
“Therefore, it is written, He that believeth shall be saved, and he that believed not is already lost. For I shall withdraw My Spirit from the excess and the houses shall become desolate… the foolish virgins, and they shall be thoroughly burnt with fire. Each member shall be burnt individually until he himself becomes fire, which is my Word. And you are the Word. You, including me, are the plan. I am the plan.
…Therefore, it is written, “Children, obey your parents.” The man of God is your parent. Come out of the flesh. The words I speak are spirit. Don't look at Tanny. This is flesh, this is my house. This isn't me. You have never seen me. I dwell in this. You have never really known you. Come off the flesh. Our reward, which we now offer, is that which we now have; eternal life, we have it now. Only believe.
Therefore, it is written, “Children obey your parents”, obey the man of God. He knows what he is talking about. He don't want pet, he don’t want you to say the man of God is a good man. He doesn’t want you to come and praise him. He wants you to understand what he is telling you. He does not want you to come here and eat manna everyday. He wants you to go and take the promised land. He does not want you to lift him up. He wants you to have an understanding of what he has inside, where you have to deny self, pride. Self is the devil. Don't look next door.”
Do you see how nice the devil preaches? [Congregation says, “Amen!”] Do you see how nice the devil lifts up the servant of God and gives him honour, to make a way to get in your soul? They come in the name of Brother Branham, they come in the name of Brother McGahee, they come in the name of Brother Bob and say nice things about them, but then they have something there to destroy your soul.
Didn’t the devil come in the beginning with the same thing to Eve? He said, “Yeah did God say? God is correct but He left out a little part that I want to give you.” So that is the strategy of the devil.
THEY SAY I AM MAD – 30 YEARS I AM ON EARTH
“How many of you have been looking at me? I am feeling sorry for me. You know they say I am mad. They say I am a schizophrenic, and there is no cure. What were your thoughts about me? Do you know me? You see me doing a lot of weird things, you hear the man of God sending messages for me: “Tell Brother Tanny to take his medicine.” Do you understand? Do you know what dimension he was speaking to me in? You all are listening upon the earth. What dimension was he speaking to me in? Do you know, it?”
Brothers and sisters, I sent a message to this man and said, “Remember brother, take your medicine. Your head is bad, take your medicine.” He came to the pulpit and said, “The man of God was speaking from a certain dimension. That was not natural medicine. No, it was spiritual medicine.”
“Have you known my sufferings? Thirty years I am upon the earth. I have no joy. You might see me laughing sometimes, but inside I am crying. I have peace but no joy. What is the matter with you? I am a lonely man. The man of God is a lonely man. The ministers, they are lonely, they are crying out. When you come in and you talk a pack of nonsense.”
That is how the devil moves. Did you catch his tactics? “The ministers are lonely people and I am lonely. I am bearing your sufferings, your aches and sorrows.” Now, didn’t the Bible say that Jesus was a man of sorrow and acquainted with grief?” Well, that is the devil talking right here in the first person. I tell you right now, I am not a lonely man.
“We are their parents. We created them. We, the Lord and us. We are part of it. We created them; therefore, they shall obey us or perish. We shall no longer plea, but now we shall command. We need faith for that. For my spirit which was their strength, wherein they are able to resist, is now taken from them and added unto you. But you need to believe it.
THE SERPENT SHALL BE BORN AGAIN – THIS IS THE 7 THUNDERS
“He that was exalted is now abased, as the crawling thing of the earth. Therefore, it is written, "Upon thy belly shall thou go and dust shall thou eat all thy days of thy life”, for the serpent also shall be born again, then shall all be finished. Then shall our joy be full in all things. You were told, and it is also written, “Hope to the end for the grace which is to be brought unto you.” Today this scripture is fulfilled. This is the revelation of the seven thunders. Signed, Brother Tanny King, who has just died unto the Lord. Blessed is every man whoso died unto the Lord from this day forward. Thank you for your hearing brothers, sisters.”
He just died unto the Lord. That demon was using that man’s body in full measure where he himself probably did not understand what he was saying. The devil penned what he read in that letter and then inspired him to come and read that on the pulpit. The man’s whole countenance was changed into a fierce look. So these are his claims.
So hundreds of people were sitting and Brother Barrow was ministering and taking charge of this, and that is how we handled this matter for the edification of the church, and now the entire world.
Brother Barrow: “You have sat and you have heard. First I want to draw your attention to the last thing that Tanny has written here. He says that “…this is the revelation of the seven thunders”, and he signed his name; “Ruthanney Michael King, better known as Tanny, who has just died unto the Lord. Blessed is every man, who hath so died unto the Lord from this day forward.” But I want you take note of that; “This is the revelation of the seven thunders; Ruthanney ‘Michael’ King.”
I hope you are getting the thought? [Congregation says, “Amen!”] I hope that you have listened to what was said? You have listened carefully. Therefore I will like to call a few brethren to give me a short response on Brother Tanny’s claim. But before I do that, I want to highlight one or two things that Brother Tanny is claiming.
From the trend of the letter addressed to the church, we see here in the second paragraph, Brother Tanny is saying,
Quote: "Thirty years I have been in this world. Since the seals were opened in the year 1963 by Brother William Marion Branham, I came and in the year 1964, November 12th I put on my robe of flesh, my chosen robe, chosen before the foundation of world, ordained for this purpose by me.”
I want you to read between the lines. This is the claim of the ministry of the son of man. This is a very, very strong claim. Amen! He went on to say;
Quote: “…ever since, I’ve been walking among you, bearing your sins in my members.”
I know it is one person who bore our sins in his own body upon the tree, and that was the Lord Jesus Christ.
He was speaking about the serpent having to be born again, and all these sort of things that are contrary to the Word of God. The serpent will be restored to its original state, but when it comes to being born again, the born again experience is not for animals. The born again experience is for you and I, not for animals. And then he puts his signature down here, “Ruthanney Michael King”, and he is claiming this to be the seven thunders.
We will call some of the brethren like Brother Trotman, Brother John, twelve brethren or so. Brother Quacoo. Is Brother Sterlin here? Brother Sterlin. We have Brother Ruthven, Brother Richard. You will come one by one and give us, just a short synopsis. You can come. Then we will have Brother Albert right here, Brother Joey Bynoe, and Peter Soon, Brother Anant, Brother Errol Ayres, and Brother Narine, way down in the back there. You will come and just give us a brief of what you think of what this letter to the church is all about.”
I guess you would have liked to be there to see how a demon manifests. So we were trying to help this man. If my voice was too weak, and he thinks that I am trying to take away his ministry, I pass it on to Brother Barrow. Then, if he was not convinced by that then we would call twelve people from the congregation, at random, without telling them anything, and put them up there to give their verdict on this letter. So now, you will see the trick of the devil. So now, these men, every one of them came out very strong against this devil.
So this is Brother Anthony John. You know Big John? The Lord brought back his son on his back. He was backslidden and he got in an accident, and that fellow is like a vegetable. Just before he got that way, which was almost two years ago, I sent Brother John and told him to make him repent. So he went down there and obeyed my instructions. His son could not talk, he did not know anybody. I said, “Do such and such to see if he could understand anybody” and the boy shook his head. Brother John led him in a sinner’s prayer, and he comes to church on his back in a vehicle. He is just a youth. God warned him with a first accident and he himself said that the next accident would be very fatal, and so it did happen. So the Lord blessed Brother John in that way. He is very committed, taking care of this young man whom I believe is saved.
ANTICHRIST AT WORK
Brother John: “Well brethren, I sat and I heard. And I want to say tonight that the things that I heard here, that the brother is claiming to have heard from almighty God, is totally contrary to the things that almighty God had already revealed to his messengers. A message which the Lord came night after night, and backed up with his presence, and have changed and transformed our lives, and the brother claims that what he has here is the revelation of the seven thunders. I pitied the Brother. In my heart I felt sad. I sat there, you know, I didn’t see my brother tonight, but I saw a powerful antichrist spirit at work, and from what I heard, I think my brother is in critical need of deliverance, for the hour is late, because what I have heard in that paper, if he doesn't get that spirit out, it will take him through the tribulation, unto hell and into a lake of fire.”
CONTRARY IDENTITY OF SON OF MAN
Brother Trotman: “Goodnight brethren. I also sat and heard these things that were read, and having been here for nine and a half years, I must say that the things that were read are erroneous, and contrary to sound doctrine. [Congregation says, “Amen!”]. Brethren I am convinced that is not of God. Now, I believe by the grace of God that I have an understanding of, in some measure, concerning the revelation of the son of man. And the claim that seems to be coming over in the letter, I must say, having an understanding of the revelation of the son of man to that extent, I believe I know the identity thereof, [Congregation says, “Amen!”], and I am well persuaded according to that letter, that is a contrary identity of the revelation of the son man here in the end time. [Congregation says, “Amen!”]. So I cannot help but join with Brother John and declare; that is an antichrist spirit and surely the brother there needs deliverance. And may the Lord have mercy somehow.”
CONTRARY SPIRIT - FAMILIAR
Brother Richard: “Brethren, I must say, I sat and I heard and I understood clearly what the brother was saying. And I think, and it has been almost seventeen years of me being seated under this Word, that is a contrary spirit to this revelation, and that brother is anointed with a powerful demon from the pit of hell, and he needs to be delivered. [Congregation says, “Amen!”]. To claim the office of Michael, and to claim the office of the son of man this is not a new spirit to us. We have battled with this spirit before on many occasions and I think our dear brother needs deliverance.” [Congregation says, “Amen!”].
Then Brother Albert, a former Muslim, who was passing by the church for about ten years, and he used to go to the Muslim church, which is not far from Bethel. He was invited to Bethel, and he sat there, heard the Word of God, and he came over and shook my hands and said, “You talk like God!” That was it! He renounced his religion and sat down there for better than twenty years now. These are the kinds of men who the Lord called, supernaturally.
Another Muslim fellow who the Lord called, he was passing to go to that same church. He said, “Let me check out this church. He came in there, we call him Brother “Robin” (Azid Mohammed), and he sat down there and said, “I believe this!” So the Lord called and saved His people. None of those brothers ever rose up with this kind of ministry. These young fellows came there and met these hard back men sitting for fifteen and twenty years, and still want to be somebody great. Something is wrong with your soul. Something is wrong with your pride and ambition. You came there and met men who were sitting there for ten years, fifteen years, twenty years before you, and now you think that you are someone so great because you heard the revelation for one or two years. Something is wrong with your soul.
So we called this Muslim brother. He doesn’t mix matters at all. He tells you what he has to tell you.
DEVIL ON BROTHER
Brother Albert: “Goodnight brothers. I sat and heard for eight years in Bethel, and from the time I saw the brother come up here, just watching him alone, in my heart I said, “That brother has a devil on him.” That is just the honest part about it. And I believe what Brother Bruce preaches, and I believe all what the other ministers preach, and what I feel is that what you have to do is really get down in some good prayers, pray and fast and ask the Lord to take that devil off him. That's my contribution”. [Congregation says, “Amen!”]
Then they called brother Sterlin Bynoe. A wonderful brother. He came from “The Open Bible” many years ago. I just spoke to him outside and he never went back to his church.
“REVELATION OF THUNDERS” - MADNESS
Brother Sterlin: “Greetings saints. Well, being acquainted with spirits like that, I want to say that I used to live next door to one, and I could tell you, from the time, before he even came to the pulpit, when Brother Barrow was about to introduce him, I saw the way he looked. I said, "Something is wrong here." I want to say that what I heard is madness. That's the honest truth. Brother Barrow said to be frank. And to be candid, that's madness. I know the identification of Christ. I know Christ, and just being plain, I find that is madness. The brother really needs help. He really needs help. That's about what I can say, but I know that is of the devil.”
Brother Quacoo is a real gentleman. A wonderful brother with a wonderful personality. A deacon of the church. He came many years ago.
“SEVEN THUNDERS” - INSANITY
Brother Quacoo: “Goodnight saints. Sitting and listening to the brother who is convinced that the spirit upon him is of the Lord, and that the understanding he has is coming from the Lord directly to him, I want to say that God is not the author of confusion and He doesn't go contrary to his Word. And after listening, as Brother Barrow pointed out already in the highlight, but I was also taking little notes of the highlights; Christ cannot confuse the scriptures, as the brother claims in his writings.
After seeing, sitting and hearing him speak, I heard something familiar. A person I was familiar with, had that same claim, and same thought. It is just on a little more higher trend but it was the same claim. And I saw that same person went totally insane, eating from a garbage can and then fell away and died, wanting to repent and didn’t have that grace to come and repent. Yet still, the Lord being merciful, I believe, somehow had mercy upon him.
I am praying that the Lord would deliver my brother, knowing that the Spirit of the Lord will not go contrary to his Word. I am praying that the Lord would bring my brother to the true understanding that the Lord wouldn't commune with him and draft him in that way, contrary to his Word. So I pity my brother. The spirit upon him is not the Holy Spirit, but it is the antichrist spirit because it is contrary to the Word, taking part of the Word and mixing his ideas. So I pray the Lord will help my brother and deliver him, bring him to his senses. That's what I have to say.”
Then Brother Joey Bynoe who is here. A gallant, precious brother, going through a trial, and that song that he sang there tonight was very fitting: “A very special grace” for himself and Micah. Never knew that they would be in the States here for so long, seeing about their families, but the will of the Lord be done.
SEVEN THUNDERS AUTHORITY - GOD
Brother Joey Bynoe: “Goodnight my precious brothers and sisters. The only authority on the seven thunders is God. [Congregation says, “Amen!”]. My precious brother is in a delusion and he needs deliverance. I pray that the Lord will help him.” [Congregation says, “Amen!”].
Then we had Brother Ruthven come up, and if you give him a chance he will preach a long message.
SPIRIT OF HUMILITY VERSUS PRIDE
Brother Ruthven: “Well my brethren, I heard a statement made in the letter, saying that pride is man’s greatest enemy. But I came to find out that he doesn't have a revelation of pride, because if he understands what pride is then he will know what humility is, and he is proud. Because, I have been thinking about Brother Branham and Brother Bob. When Brother Branham came and said, “You believe me to be God’s prophet?” He said, “You know a prophet is a preacher.”
A real man of God doesn’t try to exalt himself, and claim anything. Because the Bible says, let another praise thee. And a definition of pride is a high estimation of self, and the Bible says to esteem others better than your self. But he has lifted up himself and is making a claim. That is an antichrist spirit. So what he needs to do is go and pray and ask God to humble his proud heart. Because it is pride that has caused the whole problem, and that was from the beginning. Pride entered into Lucifer’s heart. So he needs the mercy of God.
We have an example in our midst here; Brother Dalton Bruce, who makes himself of no reputation. I don’t mean to sound sacrilegious. If anybody should make himself something should be Brother Bruce. But the Spirit of Christ is humility, and that is what I see in God’s servant here, Brother Dalton Bruce; the spirit of humility. Don't care what praises this congregation gives him, he always turns it back and gives it to the Lord, and that is what the true Spirit of Christ is. It gives the glory back to God, but this here is self-glory. And it shows that is an antichrist spirit.
Jesus made himself of no reputation, but howbeit, our brother tried to make himself a reputation and we wouldn't fall for it. So may God have mercy upon his soul. And I want to say that Brother Branham said, humility is greatness and greatness is humility, and he has a proud spirit that needs to be humbled and may he go forward and pray that prayer unto God after this cloud of witnesses here, and ask God to humble his heart, that he might be delivered.”
Then we had a humble brother by the name of Brother Anant Persad. Many of you know him. I led him to the Lord as a little boy, and then he used to follow my preaching everywhere, and I looked around and he just went away after a time. And then one day I saw him come up there with brother Ruthven, and he said, “I came to repent!” He sat down there for another twenty nine years and he is a real gentleman. A very wonderful brother, and God gave him a precious wife: “Sister Violet.” For seventeen years they never had a baby after marriage, and the Lord blessed them and gave them the baby after seventeen years. And Brother Bynoe beat that. Nineteen years after, the Lord gave this precious, little baby. Pray for the baby that it would be in good health. Brother Anant is very short and very careful with his words, but he loves the Lord.
MADE HIMSELF OF NO REPUTATION
Brother Anant: “Goodnight brethren. Well, what I want to say really, because of a true man of God, a true servant of God that has preached solid truth unto us over the years, we could truly say, and I believe that all of us will be in agreement, that what we heard on that letter tonight, as Brother Sterlin said, is just madness. That is the thought that keep coming to me when we heard those things. I believe the brother really needs deliverance and it actually helped me to appreciate my pastor a little more to see the truth that we have heard and how Brother Ruthven was saying that he would not make himself of any reputation. And this brother came here, and talking like that, and making these kinds of statements on that letter, he really needs deliverance brethren.”
And then Brother Peter Soon who came there many years ago. That precious brother. He was following Vin. And then the Lord brought that Brother. He heard the Word of God. Never turned back. Had all kinds of ups and downs, but the Lord blessed that Brother and he has been a wonderful song leader since that time.
GOD MANIFESTED IN FLESH
Brother Peter Soon: “Brethren tonight I pity Brother Tanny, because I see a soul on its way to hell, if the Lord does not grant him deliverance. Some of the things that Brother Tanny said here tonight are total madness. To claim that from the 12th November 1964, to be God manifested in flesh, even while God’s great prophet Elijah was upon the earth, and no where did God’s great prophet ever mention that God was manifested in flesh on the 12th November 1964. And then go further to say that he even thinks that the foolish virgins are going to go into the lake of fire, and burn and become fire, which is the Word of God, that is totally erroneous, because we know that once you go into the lake of fire that is the second death. There is no salvation for you after that. And I really pity the brother tonight. To claim to be the son of man manifested upon the earth is no easy claim, and I really pity him and I trust that the Lord will somehow deliver him and take him out of that delusion. Amen.”
And then we had the contribution of Brother Errol Ayres. Several of you know him. The Lord brought him way back down there in the time when they put me as Jim Jones. I guess he was one of those fellows who came to see “Jim Jones” and then stayed right there. And his wife came afterwards and was a very wonderful young woman. The Lord brought her from very far. She was so dedicated that she used to get up at 3 O’ clock in the morning, go to the toilet, sit on the seat and pray for Brother Bruce. I would learn these things after her departure. She used to come around and say, “Brother Bruce, can I do something for you. Let me clean your shoes.” I would not allow her to do it. I don’t like anybody cleaning my shoes. I was over in St. Vincent at that time when she passed away, and I did not know that she had passed away. I was laying on a bed turned in a certain direction and I saw her, beautiful and young, and she just walked across the wall, in seconds, beautiful and young. And knowing her, I said, “That is Cindy.” And she said, “Brother Bruce, God has shown me much favour”, and then she vanished. I saw her in her theophany. And then they called me and said, “Sister Cindy has passed on.” It was very shucking.
After this life is over we have another body, and it is young and beautiful, and the Lord gave me that privilege to see that sister and I was very much comforted. So Brother Errol Ayres has been a gallant brother with his family there for many long years. And he lost his wife, and then the Lord gave him another wife.
OVER-AMBITIOUS SPIRIT – DELIVERANCE SELDOM
Brother Errol Ayers: “I will like to say goodnight and I am really scared. The first time I saw the brother I said, “He didn't get delivered as yet?” I really know that, that spirit is a terrible spirit. You don't really survive that. And I really, really have to pray for that brother. Brother, I tell you, I really thank God for a true servant of God that we could be able to detect and know that is contrary to what we sat here and heard. Totally contrary.
You know, the same thing that Brother Peter said, I took note of, that is the foolish virgins. I know that is altogether wrong. Even the spirit of the brother, like he is coming against the foundation here, trying to tell us that we shouldn’t say anything about Brother Bruce. I believe that we cannot help that. The Word we are hearing here and the truth, we are not responsible for really saying what we say when we come to this pulpit, concerning the man of God. And everyone knows that we are not exalting any man. We are just thankful for the servant of God in our midst, and the blessing that he had been unto us.
From the first time I saw the whole thing, I tried to listen but I was scared. To be honest I was sacred to be sure that nothing like that doesn’t come down inside of me. You understand? I am telling you, that's the truth. To be honest, that brother really needs help. He really needs help. I don't know. I believe that is a self-exalted spirit. I believe that is a real spiritually ambitious spirit. You understand? And I see the strength of that, to be honest. God bless you.”
They have seen that at Bethel: People who allowed those spirits to come upon them, who claimed to be Christ and God don’t survive that. It takes plenty pride, plenty ambition, plenty lust, plenty blasphemy in your heart to claim such things. Brother, how a man could think that he is God? I cannot get over how a man could reach into that situation. “I am Christ? God? Son of man? The Bridegroom?” Impossible! The only thing that I could relate that to is people who did not purge out self and pride and ambition, finally received one of those spirits of the end time, and then it convinces them that they are that. And when they are convinced that they are Christ, then they start speaking to you under that inspiration, and are anointed by the devil. That is the only way that I feel that could happen. A man must be powerfully anointed to come to the pulpit and say, “I am Christ, I am Michael the archangel.” So now, that relates to his name, that is why he said he is Michael the archangel.
Mr. Absalom. He is going to face these words on the day of judgment. I believe he has crossed his borderline of repentance.
PRESENCE OF GOD BACKS UP THE WORD
Brother Narine: “Goodnight saints. Now, from the teaching of the man of God, I don’t know; that spirit doesn’t like to hear that. That spirit said, don’t say anything about Brother Bruce. But it is a simple thing to know whether something is of God or not. You don’t have to know any doctrine. Did anybody feel the presence of the Lord when that brother was reading that? [Congregation says, “No!] Now, we know that the Spirit of the Lord backs up the Word of God.
It is even easier than that. When God’s servant was in Connecticut, he wrote a letter and sent it. And not even being present, there was a great and mighty presence at the very reading of the words of the Lord… as the man of God said… on the gateway to the soul, I believe for a devil like that to enter into a man, he had to be thinking the wrong thoughts… if God makes a man something, nobody can bring him down… neither could any man take that position… there is no weapon that is formed against the Lord…
We feel what we feel. When we feel the presence of the Lord we know God backs up His Word… I love you… but the spirit you have upon you, we don’t love that... Amen.”
Brother Barrow: “Those are twelve witnesses, and I find that they have done tremendously. I tell you, they have done exceptionally well. And at this time we will ask them to take their seats. Thank you very much. This was not prearranged. Nothing was prearranged here. I did not meet the brothers outside and prompted them to say anything. This was impromptu (unarranged). Even I coming here and handling this matter, it was impromptu. It was not prearranged. So it was not something that was planned.
However, I would also like to ask the congregation what do they think of this spirit? Do you think that this spirit is of God? [Congregation responds, “NO!”] Can I see those hands? All right, you can take them down. Brother Tanny, you put up your hands, what does that indicates?”
Tanny speaking: “I am with my pastor. I saw his hands go up, so my hand went up”
ANTICHRIST SPIRIT
Brother Barrow speaks: “However, that spirit is not the Spirit of Christ, it is not the Spirit of God, and if it is not the Spirit of God, if it is not the Spirit of Christ, then it is an antichrist spirit. Anything contrary to the Word of God is antichrist.
Beloved, I want to say, for one to claim such office is taking too big a bite. I tremble. I would not think a second thought or even a first thought to even claim that office. Even though I may be spiritually ambitious, I do not even take a thought of being an apostle or a prophet. Whatever God has for us He is going to give it to us. I do not take those thoughts.
However, I believe that is an over-ambitious spirit. In other words it is a self-exalted spirit. It is not a humble spirit, beloved, and I will conclude. I do not know if the servant of the Lord wishes to come, but I will conclude by saying that, to me, Brother Tanny is not well. That is one of his problems. He is not well, and he needs to see a physician, and I will recommend him to see his doctor and take whatever treatment his doctor prescribes for him so that he may be made well, and we wish that Brother Tanny King will really come to himself, really, really come to himself.
I really do not want to add salt to injury, but this piece of literature beloved, if you do not have a good heart and a good mind, I tell you, it will have you all lop-sided. It will have you confused because I know many in the congregation did not understand this.
I had to read this several times to really grasp it. Hearing it for the first time you wouldn’t really grasp it. You will grasp certain things. However, I believe my pastor is in with us. Brother Tanny needs to see a physician right away, and you need to take whatever is prescribed by the physician for you, for your health.
However, I believe that we should all remember Brother Tanny in prayer. We should all pray for our brother that he will really come to himself. He needs our prayers more than ever. It is a real sad case and it is a real pitiful case, brother, a soul like that, it is on its way to the tribulation, if the Lord does not turn it around, and possible on its way to Hell. I do not know, however I do not know if you want to say something Brother Tanny? Come, I see you lifted your hands. Let’s hear what you have to say.”
I AM OBEDIENT & SUBJECT TO THE MAN OF GOD
Tanny King: “Well, brothers and sisters, I just want to say thanks to the man of God. And ever since, I have been subject to the man of God. I have put this literature to him and I asked him for his opinion on it and I believe if he had something to tell me, he could have told me and I would have just obeyed because I am very obedient unto him. I respect him, I respect his words. If he said, “Brother Tanny, this is of the devil,” then that is of the devil. Then that is the end of it.
I have no objections to the man of God, as I have made clear. He told me to read it for you and I read it to you. If the man of God says, “Brother Tanny, repent here now, this is of the Devil”; then this is of the devil. That’s gone, take your flight. I am subject unto the man of God. I am just here because he told me to be here.”
Brother Barrow: “All right, thank you. All right, that is the end of that part of the meeting for now.”
Brother Bruce comes to the pulpit: “Well this is nothing too strange to us. Many have never experienced the moving of an antichrist spirit, so as a result, I thought that I would educate the congregation tonight and let you have a first hand experience to see for yourselves, and understand for yourselves, how an antichrist spirit moves, how wonderful the antichrist spirit can put words together.
Now, Satan is a very bright fellow, very bright. The Devil can put words together. Now, what you and I could laugh at tonight, and be very relaxed about, being assured in our hearts, that is not of God, will delude millions, and such teachings around the world have millions of people believing that, supporting it with their money and their very lives, at the expense of their souls. Now there is a man called Soto Santiago, and he claimed the exact ministry of being the son of man, the seven thunders, claim to be the coming of Christ, and all these other claims, and he has deceived the whole of the Latin-speaking world in South America. Literally thousands and tens of thousands of people follow him and he uses the name of Brother Branham and he has come close to this revelation.
TEST CONGREGATION BY ANTICHRIST
So now, what you have experienced here tonight is to test what is inside of you, and I used this as a means here tonight to see how spiritual some really are and to sit back and hear my congregation deal with an antichrist spirit, and I must say that they are heroes of the faith. They are heroes of the faith and they have proven themselves having the right discernment.
Another reason Brother Tanny, that I allowed you to come up here and read your own letter, is that this letter was written to the church, although my name was in it, it was written to the church. And another good reason is that I wanted to give you a fair chance since you think you have a message for the church. I did not want to be partial in my ways and just discard your message and discard your thoughts and ideas. I wanted you to present what you have to the congregation and let the congregation be the judge of whether the things that are presented to them are wrong or right. And if I were to ask tonight if you had made a believer or a convert from the things that you expounded, I will do that for your sake and to further convince you that the spirit that is upon you is not of God and is of the antichrist.
Is there somebody, somewhere in this congregation will slip your hand up and say that “I believe the things that Brother Tanny said and projected tonight?” Is there a hand that will rise? Do they believe ten percent of it? Five percent of it, one percent? Let me see. Somebody believes in one percent? How many say, no percent? [Congregation says, “No percent!’] I further did this, not in a way of betrayal to your trust in me as your shepherd, but this spirit is so powerful that I am not sure that you are convinced that you are wrong, because this came up before brother, where you claimed this very same ministry of Michael the Archangel and you were going to be crucified for the sins of the people. And as your shepherd, I warned you about it and after I warned you about it, you still wanted to walk in your own ways. You ended up in the insane asylum. The Devil put you in the insane asylum. You lost your job. You separated from your wife, and were not for the mercy and the grace of God, you would be a dead man. And seeing that you went through all of those things and you never did learn and could still fall back into that delusion, beloved, there is something down inside of you that needs correcting.
HOW DELUSIONS
And how a man gets into these delusions is a simple word called “ambition”; self-ambition. And there is something down in you that desires to be somebody great and something great, and in order for your deliverance, you must come to a place where you give up that. You have to beg God on your knees everyday; “Lord help me to give up this ambition of being something great.”
Now, that ambition is very strong brother, and the greatest position that any man could ever claim is what you have claimed tonight. That is the highest that any man could ever claim, and that is what Lucifer wanted, that caused him to be kicked out from Heaven. That is what Lucifer wanted.
So now, this is not just a little spirit of some kind. This is a powerful antichrist spirit. And what happened is that spirit is so powerful that it just attacks you in different ways. And right now that this spirit is exposed, it is already planning another way, and as long as you have that medium in your heart of self and ambition, you would accept another plan of Satan to deceive you. So now, the simple thing that you need to repent for is that ambition, that desire for a ministry, that desire of being someone great, that desire of being somebody to be admired. That does not come by our desires. It is ordained of God before the foundation of the world.
God has to choose a man and give him a position, and when He gives him such position, He gives him the humility with it that he does not fall into condemnation through pride and self-exaltation.
So may the Lord have mercy upon you, brother. This has not changed my love for you. No, I see you as the other brothers see you; one in need of immediate deliverance, and I want you to understand that when I said, “Go take your medicine,” it was not spiritual, neither was it in a dimension. It was right down here on earth. I mean go and take your tablets that the natural doctor gave to you. It did not mean what the Great Physician is giving you. It simply means, go and see your doctor, get your treatment.
“I AM CHRIST” – BLASPHEMY - INSANITY SPIRIT
So may the Lord help you, and I really trust that you are convinced tonight of how wrong you are; not of the doctrine alone. This is blasphemy for a man to stand up here and say, “I am Christ, I am the Light, I am the seven thunders.” This is blasphemy to the highest, the highest blasphemy. And with all the years that I have preached this revelation, twenty-some years, it has never entered my mind to ever claim such an office, of a prophet, much more to claim to be the son of man, because I know that scripture is already fulfilled.
That ministry was summed up in the Shout and the Voice. The next vessel that God is going to chose to manifest the son of man is a many-membered body, and that fulfils the three-fold purpose of God, where God was in Christ in a Shout and a Voice, and then Christ in the Bride, and the third-fold of that mystery, to restore all things back to its original condition, while Christ is in the Bride
There is no Scripture, there is no room, there is no place in Scripture for another to use that office of the full body revealed Word of God tabernacled in a human being. The next thing on the agenda is that the Bride will be the fullness of the Godhead bodily. She will be all the Word of God put together, so until then we humble ourselves in the sight of the Lord. Let us humble ourselves and my admonishment to you my brother is humble yourself. Now that in itself is a delusion. Let me show you how deluded you are.
I CANNOT PASTOR CHRIST
Here you claimed that you are Michael, the Second Coming of Christ, the Light, the Christ and all these other things and here you have a Pastor and here Michael has a Pastor. Christ has a Pastor, the Light of the World has a Pastor. Now, see what a delusion that is?
When Jesus Christ came as the Son of man did He have a Pastor? No sir, No. And here out of one mouth you say you are that and out of the next mouth you say that you have a Pastor and that you are obedient to your Shepherd. If you were obedient to your Shepherd you would be hearing what I am preaching here a long time ago and you would humble yourself in the sight of the Lord.
So now, it is a delusion that would make you think that you are in that position. Can I pastor Christ? Can I pastor Michael? No! I cannot pastor Him and as long as you claim that ministry I could never pastor you. Impossible, how could I pastor Christ, no, it is a delusion in itself. Now, a revelation does not break up so fast, a revelation does not give up so quickly. Now how this could be inspired and how this could be Michael and how this could be Christ and how this could be God and with only twelve witnesses and because I raise my hand it broke your revelation. No, a revelation stands firm. When I preach here, a thousand people can raise their hands stating that they don’t believe what I preached, I would continue preaching anyhow because I have a divine revelation and nobody could turn me from the faith because I know what I know and I have a divine revelation that the Gates of Hell cannot prevail over.
So we conclude tonight that our beloved brother is in a Satanic delusion of the Devil and I join voices with the twelve others and the congregation here that our brother is in a Satanic delusion and needs immediate deliverance and my advice to him is to start from the medical doctor and get some treatment for your head and then get some treatment for your soul.
Now, these false doctrines damage the brain, it damages the head and that is an insanity spirit. Now these insanity spirits have been loosed since the Opening of the Seals and they are around the world. So these insanity spirits we have come across for the past twenty something years and this might be alarming and very surprising to our visitors, our young believers, but we have “Bethel Experiences” on tapes everywhere, and everything that arose and claimed that ministry and did not repent, it is sad to say that they went to the insane asylum, they died and the rest of them are in the world tonight.
DO NOT EXALT YOURSELF BY THIS REVELATION
Some blew their heads off after speaking to me. Dead, literally dead. Yes, went to the insane asylum. I am not saying that to scare you but just letting you know these insanity spirits are loosed on the earth and let this be a lesson, a little warning if you are pre-meditating about how great you are going to make yourself when you hear this revelation; beloved you are making a sad mistake. This is an example tonight to the whole world and this congregation, do not exalt yourself and think that you have heard so much revelation now that you could show how much you know in the Bible and in the Scripture. You are dead before you start.
Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He shall lift you up.

Oh beloved, thank God for the Opening of the Seals. Beloved this is why the Seals were opened. You know how many millions of people are following these insanity spirits around the world? What you smiled at tonight and wondered how a brother could be so foolish, deceives people by the millions.
Do you know why you could smile at something like that? Because of the Opening of the Seals. Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to open the seven seals. Were not for the opening of the seven seals and you have a congregation exposed to such a spirit my beloved, half of the congregation would go with it. That is how serious that is. This spirit was exposed by a divine revelation.
YOU CAN BE FREE FROM THIS SPIRIT
If my brother wants to go free tonight he could be set free. Do you know what will set him free? The exposure of that spirit and if he will believe the things that were told him tonight that it is an antichrist spirit, that is all he has to believe, he has to believe, “I am wrong, that is an antichrist sprit, the whole church say so and my Pastor says so” and dump everything on the ground, turn his back on the devil and say, “I am going free,”
So my brother if you want to be made free you can be free tonight. Whom the Son of Man hath made free is free indeed. He is in our midst. So may the Lord bless your hearts. We want to thank you for your patience. This was quite a service tonight and I thought I would give you a lesson tonight, a first hand lesson, concerning this moving of the antichrist spirit that you might see and understand for yourselves how the spirit of the antichrist moves and how he presents his case to the church of God, but you can go out rejoicing tonight that you have something that will repel, that will throw out that, will reject everything contrary to the Word of God.
And while sitting there if you have something there that is receiving that thing my Brother you need a divine revelation. But if you have something down in you from the very start that objected to it and the very countenance of the brother wasn’t too nice and the very voice was not registering with you, be sure of one thing you have the Word of God down in you and the Holy Ghost has anointed you. With our heads bowed and our eyes closed.
Lord Jesus, Lord you have heard and you have seen and Lord with love in my heart and concern for that soul I bring Brother Tanny King tonight, Lord I pray that you would curse that evil spirit. I rebuke that spirit in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth but above all Lord, I rebuke his desires, I rebuke that Devil that put that ambition upon him and I curse that spirit of self in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth and set the captive free.
We thank you for the Opening of the Seals, tonight and we thank you for deliverance for our souls. We thank you Lord for putting what you put in our souls that can reject the counsel of the antichrist. We humbly commit ourselves into your hands tonight, thank you for these twelve gallant men and many more that could have come up to the pulpit and voice their opinion, Lord it gladdens my heart to know that there are men that can recognize that spirit without doubt and condemn that spirit.
I could see that army in training tonight ready to go out and do battle with Satan, Lord, defeating the enemy around the world and bringing deliverance to God’s children. Help them all Lord and bless our little sisters and brothers and go with us and be with us for we pray and ask these things in Jesus’ name. Amen!
PRESENT CONDITION
After this showdown when Tanny claimed to have repented, lifted his hand with the congregation in agreement that the spirit upon him was not the Spirit of God, thanked the man of God, claimed to be subject to him and said that if he said it was of the devil, then it is and he will let loose of it, he continued in his delusion, was dismissed from Bethel and became a Rastafarian, which is a cult that originated in Jamaica, whose God is Haile Selassie, a former Emperor of Ethiopia, whom they hail as the conquering lion of the tribe of Judah, who died in a mud hut in Ethiopia, being overthrown by his grandson.
Tanny was later shot by a gunman and ended up in the hospital, and when spoken to by a brother, he was yet in that delusion and claimed to have never stopped calling on the Lord.
His wife said that he told her that he is Jesus Christ and she was his bride. He was yet acting in an insane manner. She eventually left him, went abroad and filed for a divorce. His present condition is that he is yet a Rastafarian, he is still in that delusion, have not denounced that satanic ministry and still claims to be serving the Lord. May the Lord have mercy upon his soul.
“PROPHET” DAVID - CRYSTAL – “THE PSALMIST”
Let me relate to you one case. There was a lovely brother who came here; a real healthy looking young man. Brother Phillip Quaccoo came along with him. His name was David Paul, a real Bible name. Be careful; you do not put meanings to your names, and apply things selfishly to yourself. Do not do that. Now, sometimes they take those names and spiritualize them, and with a Bible name they think that they are something special. This man - David Paul’s brothers are here, but I say this for the edification of the congregation. This brother went on real nice. He said: “It is the greatest thing I have ever heard; it is the gospel truth!”
He sat a long time and was always well dressed, but there was something funny about this man, that the Lord helped me to discern. I felt, something was wrong. So I asked Brother Phillip Quaccoo if he would do me a favour to go across and ask Brother David if he would deny that he is a prophet? Brother Phillip went over and asked: “Brother David, would you ever deny that you are a prophet?” He said: “I would never deny that I am a prophet. I am a prophet! Together with that, I am David the Psalmist and the song-leaders have no right to be leading songs. I am the one who is supposed to be leading songs. I am David, and I have the name of the Psalmist and song-leader, and furthermore I want to tell you, that message that Brother Bruce preached the other night was not inspired.” Well, you know, that was the message that exposed him.
He was so “spiritual” and had so much “love” that he was always around the children. After service he did not want to have anything to do with the adults. So I got him aside, and I said, “Brother, you are going wrong, do you really believe that you are a prophet?” “Yes, I believe that I am a prophet!” “Brother, when were you born again?” “The other night, while you were preaching!” I said, “I never fathered anything like you. When did the Lord reveal to you that you are a prophet?” He said, “Do you remember the night you were preaching on the crystal? I am that crystal! Remember that night you were preaching on the son of man? I am he!” I said, “Brother, repent, it’s a delusion of the devil” He said: “Who me? I will never repent!” He got real angry. I said “You have one choice, to repent, by bowing down to this congregation and kneeling down and crying for mercy, or leave this tabernacle,” He said: “I will leave!” He turned around and went out. He ended up in the insane asylum. He went mad. “Disobedience is as the sin of witchcraft; stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” He lost his mind. Sad! Real sad!
They were lovely brothers just like you and I, but just had the wrong motives and objectives, and the wrong desires. They wanted to be somebody greater than what the Lord wanted them to be. And the Lord said:
Romans 12:3, 16 <For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
… Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate…>
REPENTED
It is better to think of yourself less than to think of yourself more highly than you ought to think.
He came out from the mental home, and he visited me. He said; “Brother, I realized that I did foolishly I want to come back to the Lord.” I said: “I want to help you with all my heart, to come back.” He said, “Please tell me where I went wrong?” I said, “By believing that you are a prophet.” The Lord never gave you any such Office.” He said, “Okay brother, I will repent.” He came here, knelt down on his two knees, lifted his hand to the congregation and repented. “How many were here who know that to be the truth?” The Lord helped him; did he get better and did he get sound and sane, and was looking just like he used to be? How many say, “Amen?” [Congregation says, “Amen!”]
He sat down and started hearing the Word of God again. He was very ambitious; that ambition of being a great man. They also found in the psychiatric ward, under examination: the doctors said that such things happen to people when they have great ambition in life and it is not fulfilled. After a while, I discerned that spirit was around him again. I watched him and told the Deacons to watch him. He started going crazy, got demon possessed and would just stand and stare. He was a strong fellow and could easily kill someone.
One day at twelve o’clock, I was sitting on the side of the tabernacle, and about twenty feet away from me, I saw him standing before me, about ready to spring on me. He would not wink; he stood up and watched me fixed. He said: “I bring many demons here.” I don’t know what he was doing but he had his hands up, ready to spring before I could get up. I said: “In the name of Jesus Christ stand still; I bind you!” And he bowed and knelt down and lifted up his two hands. I walked over to him and said, “Get up and sit down.”
Well, I do not claim to have such powers, but the grace of the Lord, in such a moment, I believe He helps His children. We are looking for such power, but I believe the Lord supplies our needs. So I took control of him; my wife was watching through the louvres. I said: “Sit down here. Tell me, how did you get into this condition again?” He said, “A pillar of fire appeared to me and told me that I am a prophet,” and while talking to him I said: “This is a lying devil!” I was trying to deliver his soul by exposing that demon. There and then he started staring at my feet and his feet. I said “What are you seeing? You are seeing that pillar of fire, aren’t you?” He said: “Yes. I brought many demons here. I have been fasting for three days now, and as I was walking through the road, there were demons that started walking with me.” He said: “And Brother Dalton, I bring many devils here, and they are talking right into my ear.” I began talking to him and those devils thought they would be exposed, and in just a couple minutes he fell asleep. I shook him up and said: “Wake up!” And I spoke to him. While speaking to him his eyes opened up, I said: “It is the devil that spoke to you. That is not Almighty God! You’re not a prophet! You have no ministry”. I said, “And if you continue with this, you will end up in the insane asylum again. You need to repent.”
He did, he repented and came out of his daze and sat there, looking normal. I brought a plate of food for him and he had a meal. I said, “Well, you need to listen to some tapes and wait for service in the tabernacle, the Lord will help you”. I went home and don’t know what happened, but possibly that devil came back there and deceived him. He went and climbed half-way up a tree and sat down there, in a daze, staring. Everybody was passing there for church and he was right there sitting. I knew he was in trouble again. So I thought he would come to the meeting and the Lord would help him. So he came over at night, and that devil tried to use him while service was in progress, to get everybody in trouble. The devil got upon that boy and he walked up the baptism pool and took a headlong dive down into the water. The pool was about four feet deep, made of concrete. It was only the mercy of God that caused him not to hit his head on the concrete.
Brother Barrow and different ones were there; they heard that plunge and grabbed him quickly and pulled him out of that water. You know what that devil tried to do? Would the police ever have believed that we were not baptizing that man? Would they have ever believed that man dived into that pool? No, they would say that we were baptizing that man and killed him.
After he came out of that pool, I saw that daze upon that man, wrathful, horrible, terrible and demon possessed. He went out and he was in and out of the insane asylum. You cannot play around this revelation.
Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord. You cannot exalt yourself, you have to humble yourself, be obedient, it is the way of eternal life, but we have to realize that the devil is always at us, to take us away from eternal life and put us into a delusion. This poor, deluded young man became an insane vagrant, ate from the garbage bins, was guilty of gross immorality, too sinful to mention, and was sick with several diseases. He finally died. I am in hope that the Lord had mercy upon his soul and trust that I am not wrong in my suggestion.
You could be so ambitious and you want your desires to be fulfilled in your life until you go mad. When you go mad, you will do the wrong things. That’s the hope that I am laying on, that this fellow had such a deep desire and the same desire to be a prophet and a great man, he worried about that so much and he got into this delusion. One thing he was saying in the mad house was that Brother Bruce took away his ministry. That’s a dangerous fellow. Yes! Brother Bynoe had known this fellow. He lived right next door to him. That’s a dangerous thing. Now, a man who thinks that you took away something from him could kill you. And those demons came there on the side and he was getting ready to jump on me. It was the mercy of the Lord that subdued that devil. I could not get up in time. No sir! And all that came over me was faith that rose in my heart and I said, “I bind you, Satan”, and he knelt right down, lifted his two hands and surrendered.
Now, you do not play with sin. The kind of immorality that boy was involved in is too shameful to mention on this pulpit. But the man had gone mad. I am hoping because of that ambition, the man went staring mad and he did not know what he was doing. He was a wonderful young man.
And somebody could worry about getting a boy, so much more than eternal life, they could go crack, they could get depressed, they could go into the mental home. You could be worried so much about getting a girl and put so much emphasis upon that, more than eternal life, that you get depressed and jump over a cliff. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and all other things shall be added to you. We should not seek anything else in this life first place and get foolish and stupid and get like a dog in heat looking for the female. He leaves his home and is looking everywhere for the female. He passes across the highway and a truck hits him and kills him, and you see him with his four feet up in the air, swollen up on the side of the road. Lust carried him away and he did not achieve what he went out for because he sought it the wrong way.
You do not get stupid, you do not go after the things of this world as though you are being deprived. Brethren, God will give us what we are supposed to have. If we trust Him for eternal life first place then the Lord will take care of our natural needs.
Don’t you know that the heavenly Father that we serve could drop down one ton of gold right now for each one of us? One ton each! But He knows that is not good for us. He must send us through some sort of trial, some sort of testing, and through suffering is our perfection.
So David crystal died. His brother: Ulric Farmer, went and sought out his body and put it in the grave. I compliment Brother Farmer for that. Although that fellow was a vagrant, he sought out his body, paid his own money and buried his brother. I still hope that man’s soul could be saved. But what a punishment, what a way to go out of the world.
NOAH “THE PROPHET”
Three men came to Bethel. One was the mighty “Soldier”, one was a lovely brother called McQueen and the other was a man called Cyril. So at the end of the meeting, I spoke to the three men and Mr. Cyril had a spirit on him that I discerned was not the Spirit of the Lord. Now, these things you discern in people and as a minister, though you know them, you want to work with such believers to purge those things out, knowing that every one of us has certain habits that we came with from the world. Now, after working to take the devil off that man and you see that he would not give up that spirit, something is wrong with that man’s desires, motives and objectives, when he would not yield.
I found a boastful spirit in that man. “Soldier” (Brother Rogers) had a different spirit in him. And while preaching was in progress that man used to cry very loudly in the meeting. Some of you who were here know that. How many know that? Crying very aloud in the meeting? One night, I was praying at the church and the Lord revealed to me that it was not genuine, but that the man was crying because he believed that he was a prophet. I said that I would put this revelation to a Word test. So I took the Word of the Lord and preached something to see at what point that man would cry. Immediately, when I started preaching about Noah and his family and how they alone received the revelation, that man let out a squall and started crying. Lo and behold, as the time progressed, that man confessed that he believes that he is Noah, the prophet, and he was really a “Knower”. “He knew everything.” Proud, you are talking about a man that could take away a conversation. Brother Rogers would be relating something to me and he would say, “Let me tell it; you are saying it wrong”.
I could not bear that man’s spirit, for all the days he was in this tabernacle. He used to tell Brother Rogers that angels are speaking to him every night. He had Brother Rogers in a terrible delusion and fear. He was afraid to attack the spirit of that man. I felt sorry for Brother Rogers. I said, “Lord, deliver this man, he is such a nice man, I hate to see him go out with this false prophet.” He was delivered.
He told brother Rogers all kinds of heretical things and had Brother Rogers in terrible fear. After my preaching, he preached another message, in opposition to what I was saying. Supernaturally the Lord brought that out from the pulpit, exposing that spirit right along.
I was seeking the Lord, then the Lord came to me and showed that I was on a narrow road with some of the brethren and a great big snake about sixteen feet long was crossing that road. Then at the end of that dream, the Lord brought that knowledge to me somehow, that, that serpent represented that man and he is sitting at a certain door in the tabernacle.
A little while after, it came to a showdown. He and Brother Rogers came to the tabernacle. He told him that he was born again. When he came to me I asked, “Are you born again?” He said: “No.” Then I asked Brother Rogers to pray to see how deluded he was by this man. So Brother Rogers prayed a prayer and expressed that he did not know what to believe, whether to believe me or believe that man, and that man got so angry in that discussion that he went home. However, he kept coming to service.
He was crying about how he was getting all the revelation and nobody else was getting it. Also how he and his family alone were saved and no one else was saved. His wife did not believe him, so his doctrine was exposed. That man got a hateful spirit against me. Brother Rogers got delivered, and I learned by certain reports that he had to visit the insane asylum for some treatment. You cannot play around this revelation. Note; this poor man died a few years later.
“PROPHET” MATTHEWS
I used to go to Trinidad House where we had little discussions on certain days. Different believers used to be gathered from the Treasury and Trinidad House and other surrounding offices.
Prophet Matthews came around and I noticed he had some funny ways. He used to be very quiet and had his hands in a certain way and watched in a certain way. He would say; “Excuse me please; I have to go and pray.” He would climb up to the top of a very tall building where the water tanks were situated. When he returned, he would sit around the table and say, “There is a funny spirit here.”
I felt that a man of God who is spiritual doesn’t act like that. I said, “Brother, please, would you tell me your Office?” He said, “I am an Apostle, prophet, evangelist, teacher and pastor.” I said, “Okay.” He said, “Furthermore, I am Elijah the Prophet”. That man is still active after eighteen years. Recently, I went down to a great evangelical campaign; sons of God manifested. I doubt it. I saw “Prophet Matthews” sitting there. He turned right around and saw me, and he remembered me. “Prophet Matthews” was still active. However, this man has died of more recent times.
Another, “Elijah” came in here one day with a big beard. An Indian fellow, maybe you saw him preaching in different places. I knew him, but he could not remember me. So he came in, sat down and he said: “This is exactly the truth, I want to sleep here tonight.” I said, “Okay, sleep.”
In the morning when he got up, I wanted to find out what he believed. He said: “I am Elijah the Prophet’. I said, “You are?” He said, “Yes!” I said, “Well it is good to meet you, Elijah the Prophet. Would you please tell me about your doctrine?” He said, “Listen to me, there will be a famine in this land and there would not be water anywhere except in one spring behind my house.” I said, “Elijah the Prophet, you are a false prophet, and demon possessed! There was only one Elijah for this age and that was William Branham.” Well, he was quick to leave then. I never saw “Elijah the prophet” since that time and no famine ever took place.
I am talking about this tabernacle here, where different “prophets” visited. They tried to infiltrate this congregation, but because of the opening of the Seals… not because you have a great man, but because of the opening of the Seals, because of the opening of the Book, those false prophets had no room. If it was not for the opening of the Seals, I would be deceived. You and I would be deceived. But, because of the opening of the Seals, the Lord exposed every one of those false prophets.
“PROPHET & BRIDEGROOM” MATTHEW jOSEPH
There was another Matthew who came to Bethel in the mid-eighties. He was a very wonderful, pleasant, loving and helpful brother, and a friend to many. He led an ordinary life and was employed as a security officer with a prominent company. Nothing was too hard for him to do for the brethren. At that time, several of the brethren had no vehicles, and periodically, after services, he would transport some at late hours of the night and for long distances, to their homes.
His testimony is that he had a desire to serve the Lord but never got serious about it until one day when he had a spiritual experience on his jobsite where he worked late hours. He used to pray in the back of the building, in the wee hours of the morning, and one day after praying, he opened his eyes and saw a big cloud like a fiery stone over his head. It began ascending and in the midst of it was an eye like fire watching through the cloud. He then saw six other white clouds, and at the end of them was a man’s head from his neck upwards, which he accepted to be God; the Holy Spirit. After it had departed, he said that he lost the desires for the things of the world and began attending a Pentecostal denominational church. He afterwards came to Bethel, was baptized and stayed at the tabernacle.
One of his brothers died and he was very depressed. He suffered from an inferiority complex. He continued to abide at the tabernacle while still on his job, and other brothers were gathered on weekends to fast and pray while they sought to overcome things in their lives.
In all his helpfulness and the pleasant person who he was, he was religiously ambitious and selfwilled. When he came to Bethel he wrote down that dream and another experience and gave it to me. I said, “Brother, there is nobody upon the earth who has the right to the interpretation of dreams at this present time. I do not know what your dream is but it looks very well to me that it is the devil.” He failed to believe and accept what I told him and went on trying to figure out that dream and vision. As a result of that he ended up being anointed by the devil.
At his baptism, someone took a photograph of him, and he believed that the pillar of fire appeared over him and was photographed and the church was hiding the photo from him. During general prayer and fasting he would be audibly reading Psalms of judgment as though he was praying.
He went on a campaign to study the prophet’s message, and started boasting that he didn’t have to listen to my tapes; he was getting his own revelation from the prophet’s messages.
He started having other dreams and visions. He related his dreams to a brother, and told him what I had to say about them, and said that one had to be careful that they don’t blaspheme. He told another that I was taking his revelations and preaching them.
He went out on a long fast, became critical of my preaching from the pulpit (irreverently fussing while the Word of God went forth) and declared himself to be a prophet. He believed that he had the Spirit of Elijah, that he was Matthew the gospel writer and Joseph the son of Jacob. The Word came down on that deceptive spirit but he refused to let it go. He was determined to prove that he was a prophet.
More than a year passed. All efforts through personal counsel and the preached Word from the pulpit failed to bring him to his senses.
I assembled the brothers who fasted at the tabernacle, and I asked “Prophet” Matthew Joseph to declare his ministry and how he came to it. He accepted the offer, went to the pulpit, related a vision and dream, after which he interpreted them that the cloud in his vision is the seven angels and the eye represents the seal of God, the Holy Spirit etc, but he concealed the full and complete meanings and applications that he put to them, in order to hide that devil’s ministry.
I came to the pulpit and questioned him about his office and by what authority he interpreted the vision and dream. He was very evasive. He did not want to say he was a prophet but admitted that it was some sort of gift by which he interpreted the vision and dream. I told him that he was just trying to be humble. I then asked for the show of hands of those who Brother Matthew had testified to about these experiences and the interpretations he gave, and two brothers lifted their hands.
So now, these devils don’t want to tell the pastor who they are, but they will go to different ones in the congregation and declare their ministry and work right there. Now, that is what is happening in India right now. That man would not declare his ministry but he went on telling certain brothers privately who he is, and a couple brothers accepted that and are cutting against Brother Watson. And he almost swallowed a whole church. Yes! And I intervened for the past couple of months and I had been working on that to expose that spirit.
If you are listening to me there, precious one, you have up to the 12th August 2009, and I am going to draw my sword. You are not fit to be behind the pulpit. You are not Gabriel the archangel and you are not born again. You have no divine revelation. You need to sit down. You are not fit to pastor those people. You need to let those people go to the other church, and to the man who you kicked out of the church and took away the church from, you need to send those people back there. That’s your only way of salvation.
So two brothers lifted their hands and came up and gave their testimonies. Their testimonies revealed thus:
BRIDEGROOM – SEVEN THUNDERS
Brother Claude Neaves: “Brother Matthew told me that he is the Bridegroom and Revelation 10: 1 with the open book in his hand. Brother Bob’s and Brother Branham’s preachings pointed to him. The vision of the cloud is the open Bible in the skies which is only for him the Bridegroom. The Bridegroom is already perfect because he was born again and has the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
We are baptized into the body, which is Matthew’s physical body, and that red cloud in the dream is where he met the pillar of fire and received the baptism of the Holy Spirit. God sealed the virtues within him. His greatest need is to manifest himself to the Bride because the Bride must know who the Bridegroom is.
The preachers in Bethel are only an impersonation of his ministry. The seven thunders was not revealed but the Bridegroom will reveal it. Until we hear the voice of the Bridegroom, nothing is really going on. Only the Bride will catch that revelation.
Brother Bruce is against his ministry, and if people don’t understand that ministry they will call it antichrist. We left organization but we have one here in Bethel right under our noses. He knows he will be cast out of the congregation but he does not want to leave the brethren in darkness. He is a prophet, which is why he had that vision where the white robes were handed out with Moses and Noah and others.”
Brother Seeram: “Brother Matthew said that from the time he got that vision he was born again. When he met that pillar of fire, he had the right to preach the message of the hour and that Brother Bruce’s ministry and the honour and the glory should be given to him (Matthew).”
I went to the pulpit and rebuked that spirit with the aim of trying to deliver him. I said:
“The Bible warned us not to think more highly of our selves that we ought to. And the claim that Matthew is the highest, to be the Bridegroom Himself, that is gross error and of the devil.
Under no condition can a person be born again by a dream. I want to tell you as your pastor, up to this time you are anointed by the devil, literally anointed by the devil. You are heading for the insane asylum.
There is only one hope for you and that is to get down on your knees before this audience this morning and repent! And no pretended repentance just as a cover up. You have to do it from your heart.
There is no way that I, as a little pastor, can pastor the Bridegroom. And I cannot pastor a prophet. Brother Mathew fooled with something that he was warned about, not being of God. He followed that and he is anointed of the devil, and he thinks of himself the highest that any man could ever think, to be God Himself, the Bridegroom. Imagine such a proud heart.
And do you know what led up to that? Brother Mathew suffers form an inferiority complex. That led right up to him thinking that he is somebody in order to be accepted in this world. Right now, everything that I am saying, that anointing of the devil stands right there and gives him an interpretation and is showing him how he is being persecuted for the Word of God. But you are not persecuted for the Word of God, Brother Matthew. You are anointed by a devil. Literally anointed by the devil. And there is only one hope for you, and that is repentance. Get down upon your knees and cry out to God for mercy, repent to the congregation, otherwise you are gone.
You are not the Bridegroom, you are not a prophet, you are not called to preach the Word of God and you need to repent. How many say, “Amen!” [Congregation says, “Amen!”]
And after a man like you sat and heard Bethel experiences and the Word that goes from this pulpit, you have more guts than a boli (calabash). You have to be really selfwilled; sold out to the devil hook, line and sinker. For a man to sit and hear Bethel experiences and the preaching of a message like that this morning and come up here and claim those things, he is demon-possessed.
I don’t have one speck of bitterness or hatred for you. My desire is for you to be delivered.
Any spirit that comes against the ministry of Christ and runs down the men of God who are upholding the Word of God, it’s a devil right there. Imagine you judge your pastor as a hypocrite and taking your revelation and preaching it. Imagine you are born again by a dream and have the seal of God in a certain way. Imagine that delusion of a man who sat under this Word of God. Let that be an experience to the tabernacle this morning, and count yourselves privileged to be here to see an example of a deceived man thinking that he is a prophet and the Bridegroom Himself. May the Lord have mercy upon you. Whether you would repent and let that spirit come out of you, I am not sure. It is my desire and the desire of the congregation to see you delivered. [Congregation says, “Amen!”] You are in a terrible shape.
Out of a hundred men that I have seen gone that way, I have only seen one or two that ever repented and came out of it and they are always backward and forward on that deception. I have seen men go into the insane asylum. You heard all of that. You still went and fooled with a dream? So unspiritual that you went and fooled with a dream and put an interpretation to it, after your pastor has spoken to you.
I want to tell you before this congregation; you don’t have one speck of revelation, you are not born again and you are anointed by the devil too. Sure, anointed by the devil. If that spirit does not leave you, you will hate me for the rest of your life. Because right now it is telling you that I am trying to take away your ministry, and trying to take your revelation and preach it.
You said that baldhead is a sign of a prophet. Where did you get that interpretation from? [Matthew said he was just making a joke.] You were just making a joke? You are a joking prophet, Brother Matthew.
Behave yourself. Let us enter the Kingdom of God. Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord.
There was a brother that was living in Connecticut who had a similar doctrine but that brother repented. He bowed down and said. “God forgive me”, and he is in the tabernacle today and Brother Matthew could do the same thing if he wants to. Not at face value.
Watch these false prophets. Beloved, they fake repentance to gain access again to the congregation, so everybody would think that they repented but they will continue to work on the underneath. Down there in India, I don’t want a fake repentance. You must bring forth fruits by your repentance. Get off the pulpit! Set the people free! Repent to all the brothers! And all the bad things you said about the ministers there, you need to go and correct them otherwise your soul is damned.
FAKE REPENTANCE
Now, what do you want to do Brother Matthew? [Matthew said that he wants to repent.] You want to repent. Alright, come in front of the congregation my brother; repent. May the Lord grant you repentance. Let us pray for Brother Matthew.”
He came to the front of the congregation and myself and the congregation agonized, cried unto the Lord and prayed for him in desperation for his deliverance, after which he made an open confession to those who were gathered. However, he never truly dismissed that spirit.
He was later seen and heard praying in the tabernacle; “Lord, they do not believe me.” I again chastised that spirit with the Word of God. After a space of time to repent was given to him and he repented not, he was dismissed from the House of God. Soon after he got insane and lost his job and was seen on the streets like a vagrant, walking armed with a machete in his hand.
He visited the church afterwards, speaking blasphemous things against the ministry, saying that God sent him to me with a message. I refused to see him. However, after a while he apologized by way of one of the brothers. He continued to be in his delusion and it brought him down to rags rather than spiritual riches.
Of more recent times a brother met him. He had long Rasta-like hair and looked fierce. He told Matthew that we were commemorating the seals. His response was that he had already gone through that and he is now in the third pull ministry.
What is the fate of this precious soul? I am not sure. I cannot say that he was a bad person, but he just went the wrong way and was led away by his religious ambition.
For the edification of the church to give you something here at G.C.C. that you could relate to: At Durham, many years ago, service was going on. I was present, I was downstairs, waiting on the Lord, and a precious brother rose up and said, “Thus saith the Lord, the token fell this morning.” Yes! So Brother MaGahee was a deacon at that time, and Brother George went to the pulpit, he said, “We are going to hear ‘Thus saith the Lord’ just now. Brother Bruce is coming, you will hear ‘Thus saith the Lord.’”So he rose up and started carrying on and Brother McGahee was big and strong, a young fellow, he came and tapped on his shoulder and said, “Sit down!”
So I wanted to engage this brother in a manner of helping him. So myself and Brother George together got him downstairs. So he was in a room there and he was acting like a real prophet. So he said, “I am a prophet.” I said, “You are a prophet.” I said, “What would you prophesy about me.” He said, “The Spirit of Christ is in you, but the Spirit of Christ is not in this man called Brother George.” I said, “You said you are a prophet and the token fell this morning?” He said, ‘Yes!’” I said, “You are sure that I have the Spirit of Christ?” “Yes, you are a servant of God.” I said, “Well, the Spirit of Christ in me says that you are an antichrist and you are a false prophet.” He said, “I repent!”
So the poor man repented and he sat in the service and later on we found out some bad things about him, too personal to express here. The church knows that, and Brother George had cause to put him out of the House of God.
We thought that spirit was dismissed. Yes! After all those years, Brother Renner and Brother McGahee could bear witness. After all those years you would think that a man would give up such kind of ambition, and we allowed him back in the church after ten years or more, and again he had another “revelation; big revelation”, and he got a spirit upon him about soul mating, that this is not his wife, he has a soul mate out here. O, big bouquet of flowers and everything. And I like how Gary did the job. I said, “Gary, go up there and give back this man his bouquet.” So with soldier actions. So the man came and repented and everything. Gary said, “Here are your flowers!”
So that man never got over that delusion of thinking that he is a prophet and all these things. So what happened is that the years rolled around and I believe that God had mercy upon the man. Yet, he was a nice person I could say, and the Lord took him home a while ago, just before I came up here. May the Lord bless his soul. But that is what happens when you fool with these demons, these devils. Don’t fool with these spirits.
A FISHERMAN AND RASTAFARIAN
This is an opposite case to what you have heard. And this is a man who got into plenty trouble, repented and was completely delivered and is delivered up to today.
There was a Rastafarian who came from a crime-ridden area in our country. He was reputed for fights and violence. He never believed in God. Eventually he was imprisoned for seven years for some violence which he had committed.
After his release, he observed the lives of the brethren in the neighbourhood and said, “There is a God” and came to church. Knowing the bad reputation of the Rastafarians, the pastor’s little children ran out of the church and made an alarm that a Rastaman was inside of the church with long hair to his waist. So I quieted them and said that it is okay for him to come, Jesus wants to save him. He heard the Word and was convicted and was found to be a very pleasant person.
By the following service he removed his Rasta hair. Various saints were looking out for the Rastaman to come back to church and did not know why he stopped coming to church. He was attending each service but they could not recognize him without his long hair. He continued very faithfully and is yet serving the Lord. He is a very wonderful brother with several of his relatives here. Though a couple of his brothers backslid and terrible things happened to them, he paid no attention to their backsliding and continued in the faith. It has been almost thirty years since he came to the faith and he is an old man now, faithfully serving the Lord.
Something happened to him during the course of his time at Bethel, which I want to relate in this story to prove a very important point. That is, how far a man can reach into the realms of demon power and be delivered, even like Legion. He was willing to acknowledge his faults and be delivered, and a major factor was that he gave up his ambition, while others who sat at the same church, refused to give up their ambition, self and pride and were committed to the insane asylum, blasphemed the Holy Ghost and died, as were related in several stories in this book.
His experience started when he decided to be desperate for God, be more honest and sincere and do something for the ministry of Christ. He failed to consult the ministry, a little ambition stepped in, he became self-led and began to document several messages to begin his ministry. Meanwhile he desired to purge himself from any wrongdoing and sought the Lord with prayer and fasting.
There were many stray cats in his neighbourhood. Demons began to use those cats and came into his home. It even affected some of the neighbouring brethren. One of the cats was wounded and this brother prayed for the cat and something happened that caused much visitation of "angels" to him. Some were in the form of men and others, little children. He felt he needed a cleansing and he told them that he is too bad and that they should beat him. To him it was a form of penance. He bent over his back for them to beat him. The beatings became unbearable and many demons continued to appear to him and sang the sweetest songs he ever heard. They were in the form of children. He said that men cannot sing like that. Even up to this point he did not realize that they were demons.
However, he decided to discuss this ministry with me. He told the story from the beginning and I exposed it as satanic and the devils from hell who were trying to deceive his soul to hell. He accepted my counsel, believed and repented but the devils decided to hang on to him. They were many and manifested in various forms.
One claimed to be an alcohol drinking demon. When it came upon him, he went and drank alcohol. He could not help himself. He returned to me at home and said, “I have a drinking demon on me” and went staggering around my home. I rebuked the demon and he straightened up. He said that other demons manifested in various ways: causing him to drive slowly and at other times by other demons, he drove his car at high speed, enough to kill himself.
Prayer meetings were held at Bethel each weekend by groups of young men. He was one of them. He scared those young men by his very appearance at church. Many did not care to fall asleep when he was around, so they prayed all night. I knew the Lord would deliver him so I was patient and longsuffering with him, though he seemed to have lost control of himself and was greatly controlled by those demons.
He woke me up at late hours of the night, even towards the morning, standing at my window and saying in a heavy voice that the demons came back. I stood at arms length from him, out of his reach, behind my window and prayed each time. He knew when the demons went and would always say, “I am okay now; they are gone.”
DELIVERANCE FROM DEMON POWER
This precious brother was willing, obedient and determined to get rid of those demons in his life. He persisted in prayer, keeping in contact with me, not accepting those demons as angels, though he lost some weight and appeared spooky, fierce and as one who lived in another world.
Now, those demons troubled that man for about three to six months, or maybe more, and kept coming and going until a final prayer was made and they were all dismissed, as he kept coming to church and sitting in the presence of God. He came over and said, “I will tell you the truth now. What I was doing, I was making messages to preach in my copybook; and I threw away my fishing lines and everything like that.” I said, “You are now coming to the facts. Now, all that you have to do is to repent for that. God never called you to preach. He did not call you to any ministry. Now, we will pray, we will make the final prayer.” And when we made the final prayer, all those demons left the man. Twenty four years now, brothers and sisters, and he never had one symptom or showed any signs of demon power. He is fully restored and in his right mind. He leads a normal life, is yet a fisherman and a loving brother who believes the Word with his whole heart. May the Lord continue to bless this precious brother.
This was not written as a form of rebuke or exposition in any form, but as an example to you and I and to the world of deliverance. So even though a man goes the wrong way, be honest with God, be honest with God’s servant, give up your conception, give up your pride, give up your self, give up your ambition and the Lord will take care of you.
So my brothers and sisters, I prayed for that man and he was completely delivered. I never heard of a man having so many demons, and taking so many beatings and went through those kinds of experiences. That is a strong fellow, physically. And he is about nearing seventy now. And I tell you, that fellow continued to serve the Lord. And do you know who his brother was? His brother was David Crystal. David Crystal was never delivered; and his brother over here was delivered because he humbled his heart! Yes! So now, this is an example of a man who was delivered. He never claimed to be a prophet or apostle or anything like that. He just had a desire to serve the Lord in way of preaching, and he got into trouble. The Lord delivered the man. He is healthy, he is strong and he comes to church and is still serving the Lord. So we are grateful to the Lord at least for that deliverance.
And any man overseas, any man that is in trouble and you have gone the wrong way, even “Gabriel the archangel”, if you will put down that conception, if you will put down that pride, self and lust and will give that up and serve the Lord, He could deliver you. Yes! You could save those people under your ministry. You could be one with the ministers there or anywhere that you are affected, even in Africa or wherever you are, the Lord can deliver you. Yes! Let us bow our heads.
Father, and our God, we pray that you will send forth your word of deliverance tonight, to India, to Africa and to the rest of the world and bring deliverance to your people. We pray that you will humble our hearts in this congregation, not only because we think that we will be prophets, no Lord, but because, Father, of our self and pride. They cause disunity. They cause offences. They cause us not to receive the new birth. Now Lord, we pray that you will move upon your people and help them to take this message in deep consideration, both here and around the world, down at Bethel, in Guyana, wherever my voice is heard today and will be heard through the tapes and through the other tapes, Lord, we pray that you will bless your people and bring deliverance and make them wise to the enemy. We commit this message into your hands, in the name of Jesus Christ, we pray with thanksgiving, Amen!
May the Lord continue to bless us and keep us humble in His Presence and may these things that had been related cause us to be emptied of selfish motives and objectives and the wrong desires. When we do wrong, repent for them and don’t look for an excuse, because the devil is always ready to give man an excuse. The hour that we have come to is very dangerous, these spirits are loosed upon the earth. Insanity spirits are loosed upon the earth and they are looking for men and women to demon possess. They want tabernacles to use, and one of the best tabernacles they could use is a man who has knowledge of this message.
I could say that amongst the ministers whom I am associated with at Bethel, the Caribbean and in the United States, I have not found a spirit that desires an office that the Lord has not given to them. I do not see a religious ambitious attitude where they want to outpreach each other, and certainly I must say that is the Spirit of God. And the Lord has blessed the congregation at Bethel with lovely brothers and sisters, who stood the chastisement of the Word of God as no other people have ever stood chastisement by God’s Word, outside of those in G.C.C., Connecticut. May we ever continue to be humble, and regardless of how hard the Word of God might sound and how rough that man of God may get at certain times, we always want to maintain a humble attitude, knowing that it is the Word of God, and if Jesus was here he would tell you the very same things.
In this tabernacle, I could say, that out of all the chastisement and correction, personally and from the pulpit, that I have given to people, that I don’t know of more than three or four persons who ever lifted up their voices against me, in retaliation. No, and I don’t think those people meant that. They are three or four women, and I see that they are striving to overcome that spirit. I could really say that the Spirit of the Lord is upon this congregation, not because of signs and wonders. That is what the world is seeking after today: signs, wonders and miracles, and it was prophesied that this generation will be a generation of sign seekers and because of that, many will be deceived.
Although the Lord has done many mighty signs and wonders in our midst, we do not major on a minor. Salvation is the major. There is an Outpouring coming upon the face of the earth. When that outpouring strikes the church of the living God, we would be able to challenge the world. Then they will be able to see signs and wonders and miracles as recorded in the book of Acts. Until then, the Lord is bringing that Word down into our hearts.
Do you know that if the Lord starts with a bunch of signs and miracles and wonders, you would have the world coming in here, and you will have all kinds of whoremongers and adulterers and fornicators and thieves and liars, sitting in the congregation and we will have such a great gathering that will drive the Holy Ghost away? But the wisdom of almighty God wants to lay the emphasis on the Word of God. So He does not want this generation of sign seekers to come in and spoil His plan.
Notice that before the Outpouring came on the day of Pentecost, the revival of signs and wonders and miracles temporarily stopped. I am not saying that signs and wonders have ceased now. I am talking about back there. That was to throw off the crowd. The five thousand and the ten thousand and the twenty thousand who ate bread and fish, scattered, until the Lord pulled a hundred and twenty people who believed the Word, took them up to Pentecost and baptized them with the Baptism of the Holy Ghost. Then the signs and wonders returned and they never slowed down until three hundred years after. Now, what the Lord is trying to do is to get us anchored upon the Word of God.
Let us yield our hearts. Let us, my brothers and sisters, take these things as lessons. I really believe that the Spirit of the Lord is amongst us. I believe that the Lord is leading us and guiding us. Amen.
